About Andrea Varga

Andrea Varga is an Associate Professor of Theatre Design, a member of the Honors Faculty, and a Sustainability Faculty Fellow at SUNY New Paltz. She holds an MFA in Theatre Design from Florida State University and, for over 25 years, worked as a costume designer and assistant designer on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in television and academia. As an educator/artist she works to incorporate sustainability practice into her craft, courses, and artwork to connect past with present through tactile visual storytelling.
