Edward Lawson, Jr., JD/MBA, Department of Black Studies and Scholars Mentorship Program at SUNY New Paltz, founded and directs FACES: Family and Community Engagement Services in Newburgh, NY. A nationally recognized trainer, Lawson has conducted over 250 workshops, keynotes, and community engagement events across 20 states and two countries including implicit bias training, his Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Framework, and webinars on Domestic Violence, Special Needs Children, Child Support, and Childhood Development. Lawson serves as Executive Director for the Vin Baker Bouncing Back Foundation. At the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (NRFC), he led President Obama’s Fatherhood Buzz Barbershop Initiative and contributed to the Responsible Fatherhood Toolkit; Resources from the Field.
