About Jessica Crowell

Jessica Crowell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Media and Journalism at SUNY New Paltz and holds a PhD in Media Studies from Rutgers University. Her qualitative research and teaching address the intersection of media, social justice, and sustainability, including the impact of media on work and the role of sustainability education in furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion. Jessica’s research has appeared in books and academic journals. Jessica believes in engaged scholarship and as such has authored policy papers on information access in low-income communities for state and federal governments in addition to NGOs.
