About Kimberly Sanford

Kimberly Sanford is a graduate of the School of Education at SUNY New Paltz. She teaches high school English in New York City and instructs undergraduates in Disability Studies at New Paltz. Kimberly is an emerging Disability Studies scholar and apprentice to Dr. April B. Coughlin. Together they earned the Academic Year Undergraduate Research Experience grant in 2021 and presented at the 27th Multicultural Education Conference at SUNY New Paltz. Additionally, they published “Expanding Access to Disability Studies: Reflections from Both Sides of the Classroom” in the Journal of Teaching Disability Studies at CUNY in 2022.
