About Lisa Mitten

Lisa Mitten, M.A., Campus Sustainability Coordinator at the State University of New York at New Paltz and founder of the Sustainability Faculty Fellows Learning Community, holds an M.A. in Education from Hofstra University and an M.A. in Public Policy from the University of Maryland. She coordinates the student Sustainability Ambassadors program and consults with institutional management on facilities and campus design. She serves as a board member at the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency and as Treasurer for Seed Song Farm in Kingston, NY. She is the winner of the SUNY Chancellor’s award for Excellence in Professional Service (2021).
