About Paul Hirsch

Paul Hirsch is Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Environmental Studies at SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF). He designs and facilitates strategies to address complexity in environmental problem-solving.   His current work is on opportunities for trust-building across diverse people with shared connections to natural places and environmental systems.  At ESF, Dr. Hirsch oversees the development of online graduate programs in Environmental Leadership, Justice, and Communication.  He holds a PhD in Public Policy from Georgia Tech, an MS from the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia, and a BS from Cornell University.
