About Ripley Butterfield

Ripley Butterfield is currently a senior undergraduate student at the State University of New York at New Paltz. She is a socially engaged artist and writer working with public libraries. With collaborator Michael Asbill, she is making sculptures from the remnants of declining tree species for their regionwide public art project, Processing Collapse.
